| SANTA ROSA, Calif. John Karr goes on trial in California today on child pornography charges even though prosecutors have admitted losing one key piece of evidence.Sonoma County Superior Court Judge Cerena Wong has criticized prosecutors and sheriff's deputies for "mistakes and missteps" in the case against the onetime suspect in the JonBenet Ramsey murder. But she says those issues should ultimately be resolved by one jury.Prosecutors have admitted losing the computer where five alleged images of child pornography were stored.Defense lawyers had asked for the charges to be dismissed, saying they could not adequately defend their client without very hard evidence.The case is going to trial after Karr rejected one plea deal.
