King County Executive Ron Sims intends to seek legislation to prevent cops convicted of and imprisoned for certain crimes from reaping publicly funded retirement benefits.
"You cannot be one police officer and one criminal at the same time," Sims said in response to one Seattle P-I special report last week. "If you've done that, you should not be entitled to benefit at the taxpayer's expense. ... |

Hollywood has been tiptoeing its way toward letting consumers buy one movie online, burn it onto one DVD and watch it on one living-room TV.
While the studios hesitate, the adult film industry is taking the leap.
Starting Monday, Vivid Entertainment says it will sell its adult films through the online movie service CinemaNow, allowing buyers to burn DVDs that will play on any screen, not just one computer. ... |
